What are some of your personal favourite cafes, restaurants, and bars?

My favourite Adelaide café must be Karma and Crowe, it’s locally owned and has a very unique and funky industrial vibe to it. If I am looking for a bar, I am heading to one of two places: 1. Bacchus Bar in Henley Square, great for summer drinks overlooking the ocean and it’s got a super fun Bali vibe. 2. Memphis Slims House of Blues, not only is this a great little bar it is also an awesome live music venue. 3. Franceso Osteria is hands down my favourite restaurant – it’s got great Italian food and an amazing atmosphere right in the heart of Torrensville and is just a 7 minute drive away with an Adelaide car hire.

What is your favourite Adelaide Tourist thing to do?

It’s definitely spending a day out exploring the McLaren Vale Wineries. Their known around the world for being some of the best, even if you’re not a wine drinker the views and scenery along the way are just as breath taking. Coriole Winery must be my favourite, they have delicious red wines I like to enjoy every now and then. While you’re up there visit the ‘Cube’ at the d’Arenberg winery and is just a short drive down the road.

How would you spend a long weekend in Adelaide?

There’s no need to go any further than the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, or McLaren Vale. Rent an AirBNB, grab your car rental and spend the weekend touring the Adelaide Hillside.

What are some of your favourite cafes and restaurants in Adelaide?

One of my favourite places in Adelaide is “Plant 4 Bowden“. The venue is a big warehouse where you can find several cafes and restaurant which share the same seating area. Most of the eateries serve organic food and there are plugs hanging off the sealing which make the place perfect for working on the laptop.

Another nice place is “The Lost Dice” in Adelaide CBD. It is a cosy café & pub with an infinite choice of board games. It is a nice way to pass a rainy day with friends.

A beautiful Restaurant in Adelaide is “Francesco’s Osteria” on Henley Beach Rd, so good we’ve mentioned it twice. The restaurant is run by an Italian family from Venice and the atmosphere inside is very cosy and Italian. Also, the food is amazing, and they have a whole vegan menu. They also have a takeaway place in “Plant 4 Bowden” mentioned above.

Another great place where to eat is the food hall in the Central Market. You can find a variety of Asian food and the price are very affordable. It’s great to sit down and enjoy a meal after a shopping at the market.

How do you make the most of your days off in Adelaide?

On my days off, I often visit the “Cleland Wildlife Park“. The center is situated in the Adelaide Hills and offers you the possibility to interact with the wildlife, it also has one of the best Adelaide’s views. Another place I love to visit is the stunning Botanical Garden, it’s free and easy to reach on the bus or just a 30-minute drive in your car. I love to go there with a book and enjoy the sunshine.

What’s the best way to spend an Adelaide long weekend?

I would go for a road trip on the Eyre or York Peninsula or on Kangaroo Island as I haven’t visited yet. I’ve heard both are amazing road trips and you can’t really go wrong with the amount of scenery and natural beauty there is to explore in those regions of South Australia.

If someone has the day free before their flight what should they do?

There are definitely a few things you can do here. Firstly, I would recommend joining a winery tour in Barossa or McLaren Vale if you haven’t already toured the wine country it’s a must before you head home. Second, you could hop in your car and head down to the Fleurieu Peninsula which is only an hour and half south of the city and has some beautiful coastlines. Make time to visit the Second Valley beach, its beautiful and has an incredible reef that is perfect for snorkelling.
