Charge
Additional Cleaning Fee
A charge imposed in respect of an excessively dirty vehicle or where there is a smoke odour or otherwise undesirable odour in the vehicle upon return.
Variable depending on the extent of cleaning required – capped at $500.
Additional Driver
A fee for each additional driver added to your Subscription.
$12.00 per Additional Driver, Per Week. Please note that only eligible nominated drivers are covered by your Subscription damage cover.
Baby Seat (ISOFIX) and Baby Seats (Anchor)
Comfortable and 100% compliant with Australian safety standards. Installed front or rear-facing with customer at time of collection. Please enquire with customer service team.

Booster Seats

Breakdown or Roadside Assist Call Out Fee
If the driver is at fault for the problem for which assistance is requested, for example:
  • damage as a result of use of the incorrect fuel type.
  • a flat battery because the lights, accessories or entertainment system have been left on without the engine running.
  • a flat battery where the Vehicle has not been used for more than 3 consecutive days.
  • tyre changing or replacement as a result of a puncture or damage to the wheel;
  • lost keys or remote-control device;
  • keys or remote-control device locked in the Vehicle
The charge covers the cost of providing breakdown or roadside assistance.
Queensland - $114.00. All other States and Territories - $145.00
Cancellation Fee
A cancellation fee applies where you have paid a refundable security deposit but failed to activate your Subscription due to change of mind or otherwise not due to any fault of eCar Subscription.

Claims Management Fee
Fixed charge to recover our costs for dealing with each Claim processed due to damage caused to the vehicle.
Variable - $55 for a single vehicle accident to $220 where there is also Third-Party Loss.
Credit Card surcharge
A surcharge as noted on the Subscription agreement applied for use of debit cards or credit cards. Transaction fees will appear itemised on each invoice. No transaction fees apply for bank direct debit.
Amex/Visa/Master Card 2.00% of transaction
Damage Assessment Fee
External Assessor's fees.
Variable - passed on at cost
Damage Cover - Excess Reduction
Reduce your vehicle damage liability to $550.00 in the event of a claim.
Rates vary. Fee quoted at the time of booking.
Damage Cover - Standard Excess
The standard excess in the event of a claim is $3300.00 depending on category of vehicle selected.

Delivery & Collection Fees
If you request that your vehicle is delivered to or collected from a location other than our rental location.
Rates vary. Subject to availability. Fee quoted at the time of booking.
Early Return Fee - Minimum Term
An early return fee applies if you return the vehicle prior to the expiration of the minimum term of your Subscription plan.
The remainder of the minimum term.
Early Return Fee - Notice Period
Early return fee applies if the vehicle is returned without providing the required 21 days' notice period.
Remainder of the 21-day notice period.
Excess Kilometres
Calculated in arrears based on the weekly kilometre limit of the chosen Subscription plan and itemised on the next invoice. Usage is calculated using GPS data and may not reflect the vehicle odometer. Kilometre limit applies as per the chosen billing cycle. Any unused kilometres within a billing cycle period are forfeited.
Between $0.30 and $0.40 per additional KM based on plan
Fines & Infringement Administration Fee
Payment for processing of traffic & parking fines, speeding and traffic infringements.

Commonly referred to as GST.

Late Payment Fee
A late fee applied when invoice becomes more than 7 days overdue.

Mobile Phone Holder
A safe and secure mobile device holder. Please enquire with our customer service team for options and availablity.

Refuelling Fee
Charge applicable for returning the Vehicle without a full tank of fuel or less fuel than when it supplied.
$4.40 per litre
Replacement - Vehicle Monitoring System (VMS)
If the VMS is lost, damaged or stolen whilst on rent the amount payable to replace.

Replacement Vehicle Key
If the vehicle's key is lost, damaged or stolen while on subscription, the initial charge payable to replace. Any amount surplus to requirement will be refunded once the replacement is completed.

Subscription Rate
The daily or period Subscription charge as per the Subscription Agreement.

Toll Administration Processing Fee
Fee applicable for the administrative functions undertaken to renominate toll notices due to the vehicle not being added to a subscribers personal tolling account. Applied for each toll notice received.
$2.20 per toll
Towing
Fee for recovering vehicle where driver at fault, included in Excess Reduction.
Variable and passed on at cost
Tyre Replacement
The amount payable for the replacement of a tyre by eCar Subscription.
$30.70 plus the cost of the replacement tyre.
Young Driver Surcharge
Applies to drivers under 25 years of age.
$15.00 per week (for each nominated driver under 25)
